In addition to the two members of the Baha’i faith who were buried in mass graves in Khavaran last year, in the period between April 4 and May 4 of 2023, 7 more Bahais were buried at this site without the knowledge or presence of their families. This is a known ploy by the Islamic Republic’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security to pit the victims’ families against one another, and to destroy the incriminating evidence.

FOR A LEAF
29 April 2023, by Mehdi AslaniSince it’s inception, the Islamic Regime in Iran has been synonymous with prison. Not wishing to underestimate the sufferings of victims and their families by the Regime in recent years, this work concentrates on the first decade of Islamic Republic, signifying the most grotesque period of prisons. Documenting the accounts of families of political prisoners shines a light on the infinite horrors perpetuated under the Islamic Republic and helps to understand prison processes during the bloodstained decade of 1980’s.

Justice-Seeking Pact
5 March 2023Individual or collective killings and mass intimidation have been one side of the policy of eliminating “others” in our society. The flip side is depriving large sections of society of their fundamental rights in every arbitrary, violent, and cruel manner.
